In the early 1920s, the engineer Max Braun founds a machine-building workshop in Frankfurt am Main. On the strength of its groundbreaking inventions for the emerging radio broadcasting industry, the firm opens its own factory building with 400 employees in 1928.
“Don’t persuade. Convince.” This Braun motto goes back to the 1950s. Braun’s innovative, independent design has delivered a compelling argument ever since, winning people over around the world with aesthetics, functionality and quality.
Following “less, but better” approach to design, Dieter Rams and Braun created a mind-set of order, clarity and simplicity and applied it to electrical appliances. Today, we refer to it as “Strength of Pure”, which we look to instil in everything we do. The values of quality, functionality, clarity, longevity and timelessness can be seen in the hundreds of products Braun has brought to market and the products it continues to create today.
